Katie Donegan is the world record-breaking, co-founder of Rebel Finance School, which helps people from all walks of life avoid debt and master their personal finances through its free courses. Katie has been on a mission to help level the playing field; she broke the Guinness World Record for the highest altitude soccer match ever played with Equal Playing Field and has been featured in two documentaries about the trip and women’s equality in sport.
Using the principles of the Financial Independence movement, Katie was able to “retire” at the age of 35 and now gives her time to help other people get on top of their finances. She uses her newly found freedom from corporate life to travel the world, run courses on finance and train in calisthenics.
In 2021, Rebel won a Queen’s Award for promoting opportunity. Its work has also been backed by organisations including Google, Henley Business School, Westminster City Council and the Department for Work and Pensions.
