Lynn Frair, Founder of fiheathcare.com started investing at the age of 12 and now lives a work-optional life of pursuing passion projects that add meaningful value. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and on the popular FIRE podcast, Choose FI as well as What’s Up Next and Nurses on FIRE. She became an ICU nurse right out of school but was soon diagnosed with a brain tumor that changed her life. The brain tumor, resulting medical bills, and decreased work during recovery was financially difficult–it wiped out many years of investment savings. Lynn and her husband had to rebuild again from net worth of zero in 2009 and are now comfortably retired at 40 years old. Having the brain tumor crystallized that Lynn values time profoundly; she tries to live life with intentionality and a conscious understanding of behavioral finance and how that impacts quality of life. Lynn enjoys speaking about financial empowerment and intentionality, healthcare options in early retirement, and the 8 forms of capital.
